Web Site Content
In writing Web site content, Words & Deeds works
with clients to define who they are, what they want and need to relate to
clients and prospects, and how best to get their message across. If the
Web site needs updating, we help the client bring today’s message into the
content. The clear, concise content is provided to the web master on a
Word document.
Projects Linger: We take the project out of
your hands and get it done, on time and within your budget. Your Web site
will be easy to read, easy to use and an effective marketing tool.

"Being a trainer and having done a lot of corporate writing, I thought I
was doing a fairly good job of making a point in writing. When I decided
to have a web page, initially I did it myself and thought it was good.
“However, after seeing the statistics on how little time people spend at a
site, I knew I needed help. Connie @ Words and Deeds solved the challenge.
“Simply by listening to my concerns and hearing what I wanted to say, she
was able to capture my style and portray what I wanted. I feel now the Web
site is ‘me’ – and makes the kind of impact I wanted! Thanks, Connie."

| "For many years, I have
photographed my custom glass engravings. And that’s what they were:
just photos. "Then I
connected with Connie Anderson, business writer and someone who
listens, asks good questions and helps those who have an idea, but
don’t know how to pull it all together. She asked me about each
project–who was it for, how did they use it, did it have a special
memory attached?
"Connie made the pictures came to life
by creating individual pages for my show-and-tell book. Now each has a
little story, a history of its own.

| "This information,
combined with my personal story of how I became a custom glass
engraver, and viola, we had the content for my web site. The
combination of the words, wonderful layout and design and photo of
me make me feel very like a true artist, a professional–a whole new
person. "Now with how
everyone has helped me launch of my web site, I no longer feel like
a caterpillar but a wonderful creative butterfly.

I spent 18 months thinking about
having a Web site to promote my miniature llamas. I wish now I’d
done it right away. My
www.MinnesotaMinis.com :
- Increased my professional image
in this area.
- Gave me a place to direct
interested people.
- Can be changed and updated
easily.
- Allows me to promote and sell
my products.
Within two weeks of the site being
finished, I had a hit that resulted in selling of two miniature
llamas. This site actually paid for itself with that one contact. I
feel proud of how I can present my farm and my animals.
The process was interesting and
exhausting. I felt overwhelmed by the entirety of the process–like
where to begin. Connie Anderson said, “Don’t worry. We’ll meet, I’ll
take notes and write something. You change it as needed.” Soon I had
something to guide me. I took digital photos of my animals and
provide information about each one and the farm in general. Together
we decided where and how to handle what I wanted to present. |
 |
| The most amazing thing was seeing
it all happen, all come together. To read my words (only now they
were written better with richer and clearer images) was exciting. IT
MADE SENSE and was easy to navigate.
If you are thinking about having a Web
site, do it and don’t look back. Hire a good web designer like I
did: Beth@plum-creek.com
and a writer who listens, asks good questions and makes your dream
come true:

| The marketing ideas
you have implemented for us really helped our new business take off.
Our clients gave it rave reviews. The initial four-color postcard
accomplished our goal: we got the “face” time we wanted so people
would make a name connection and realize we had a new business. |
 |
| The
suggestion of setting up a Web site (www.TimLemkeConstruction.com)
was great. We've gotten many positive comments on it. You made it
very easy to do. Our clients say it is simple to navigate as opposed
to many other sites.
A special benefit is having you
contact our clients and interview them for testimonials. It’s
wonderful to hear what they have to say about our company and our
people. You encourage them to tell what is most important about the
project – whether meeting deadlines, quality of products and
workmanship, special situations or overall satisfaction. Their
testimonials, when written by you, have greatly enhanced the value
of our Web site.
Knowing how to take our thoughts
and put them into words, you make words come alive. We were most
pleased that your words let others understand the pride we feel in
our work.
You know how we feel about your
work. Remarkable!!

| Q: Why do my clients want a Web site?
A: Making current and accurate information available is their #1 reason.
They think of their Web site as an always-changing four-color brochure, one they
can revise and update without throwing the old away.
Some use it as a “more information” place.
Others know that people use a
Web site to check out someone or something before they make a personal
query. Others use it to inform and educate
people nationwide. When you review this site’s information thoroughly, you
will know whether this is the right thing for you. It saves
people time and it ensures the same accurate information is given to
everyone. Some clients use a Web site to impress and raise the bar on how
they are perceived. Some clients use it to sell products, or books, or
videos.
A
Web site is part of an effective marketing program!
Regardless the
reasons, each company needs clear, concise information presented in an
easy-to-access way. Not a lot of bells and whistles are needed, just
call or e-mail for details on how we can get you on the Web! |
